Revolutionizing Sun Protection through Circular Science
The Innovation: A Two-Fold Approach
Our collaboration with Plinius Labs focused on replacing synthetic ingredients with circular, bio-based alternatives:
WonderLime (Upcycled CaCO₃): We transformed low-value eggshell waste into high-purity Calcium Carbonate particles. These "tuned" particles act as a natural SPF booster, enhancing the effectiveness of the UV filters.
100% Bio-Based UV Filters: We successfully synthesized Ethylhexyl Salicylate (EHS) from renewable sources. This provides a green, identical replacement for the standard petrochemical version, ensuring 100% renewable carbon content.
