The European industrial mineral sector is shifting fast under the pressure of the European Green Deal. Standard ground calcium carbonate (GCC) is cheap and common, but it comes with a heavy carbon footprint tied to a linear model of quarrying, crushing, and disposal. More importantly, it is a fossil-derived resource.
We are tackling this by upcycling biobased calcium carbonate - branded as WonderLime™ - straight from eggshell biowaste. Because chickens absorb atmospheric CO2 through their feed-egg cycle, WonderLime™ carries roughly 440 kg of biogenic CO2 per ton, making it a short-cycle, carbon-neutral alternative to mined limestone.

Local Impact in the Meuse-Rhine Region
Egg breaking facilities currently face high costs - ranging from €25 to €60 per ton for landfills and over €200 per ton for incineration - just to get rid of eggshell waste. By collecting this material, we help local partners cut disposal costs while keeping heavy greenhouse gas emissions out of the air.
